Language Arts
- In reading we will read "Butterflies in My Stomach" and "Babushka's Doll". We will use these stories to focus on using figurative language and how to write with good ideas.
- In grammar we will continue reviewing the four types of sentences (statement, question, command, and exclamation).
- Our main focus in writing this week is learning how to write with good ideas.
- In penmanship we will continue with cursive writing.
- World Wall Words for this week are said, because, friend, very,and again.
Math
In math we will continue with multiplication. We will explore equal groups and write multiplication sentences. Students will have their first timed test this Friday.
Science
We will continue with the Plant Needs experiment and learn about the job of the seed, roots, and stem.

Quiz on exploring equal groups and writing multiplication sentences pgs. 204-207.
Friday
- Timed test 2 as a factor (they need to answer 36 problems in 3 minutes and 1/2).
- Word wall test (don't forget to review last week's words.)
